Wild Palms
Wild Palms are the first band EVER to join Popular so they are band very close to our heart here. We manage them, we released their first single, promoted shows for them all the way up to their sell out album launch at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen. After releasing their debut album 'Until Spring' in March 2011 on One Little Indian Records they have been concentrating on writing new material for their follow up and the snippets we've heard so far have made us very excited indeed.

Mode Moderne
The members of Vancouver's Mode Moderne have a penchant for all things dark and gloomy, but that doesn't get in the way of their quest for the perfect pop song.
The outfit continue to win over audiences and tastemakers alike, earning the attention of Pitchfork, RCRD LBL, This Is Fake DIY and Vancouver's own Light Organ Records. The label signed the band, and on June 14, 2011, released the seven-inch "Real Goths"/"Undiscovered Country." Replete with pulsing electro beat, haunting stabs of guitar and synth, and Intilé's signature self-deprecating croon, it's another tantalizing glimpse into Mode Moderne's eerie world. And with another EP planned for the fall, the darkness will only keep spreading.

Just as the original white album, there’s no right or wrong. Just ideas. Mostly wonderful ones.

Underground Railroad
The latest album, produced by the band and mixed Paul Walton (Massive Attack – “Mezzanine”, Bjork – “Homogenic” / “Vespertine”) was released in June this year to more critical acclaim. Guitars explore and meander, circling the biggest melodies of the band's career so far. It's intense and amped, touching and subtle at points and hugely tuneful, taking in early Radiohead and Liars as well as the beloved American alt.rock bands that made the three fall in love with music in the first place.
Dark, intense, melodic, exploratory… Underground Railroad have gone around the world then found what's most true to them back where they now call home. It's an intriguing place – we suggest you have a listen.

Cold in Berlin delivered with "Give Me Walls" (Dec 2010, 2076 Records) one of the stand out albums of 2011.
Infused with DIY ethics of Warhol-era rock n' roll, they offer an incendiary energy reminiscent of early grunge and even earlier no-wave, yet the noise they make is all their own.

Coasts
Coasts belongs to five lonesome individuals with little else to live for. They come from Bristol, they play Beat Pop, bang drums and cry lines. For, what else do they have?
As the cracks in 2011 appeared, Coasts perfected their sound: tribal drums, tropical strings and thundered keys. They holed themselves away in a disused Reuters building for months in order to find what they had once forgotten. A feral set of ebbs and flows, a collective of Brothers, ready to start fires and make some noise.

Golden Glow
After suffering a serious car accident that left him unable to walk for close to six months, Pierre Hall created Golden Glow, wrote the songs, and forced them onto his four-track with pure determination. His recovery was obviously a dark and tough period, but it was during this time that he found his inspiration for Golden Glow, which takes its name from the classic uplifting 80's track 'Sunlight Bathed The Golden Glow' by Felt.
When finished, he toyed with the idea of re-recording the songs in a cleaner studio. Then he thought of releasing the songs in their original form but limiting the outlet and calling them demos, but everyone who heard the tracks gave the same advice. Don’t ruin the magic was captured on that four-track. Don’t clean-up the charm. Release the music as it is. Debut album, Tender Is The Night, is the result.
The band have already supported the likes of The Drums, Crystal Stilts, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Wild Nothing.
