The Caulfield Beats
South East Londons, The Caulfield Beats are Lawrence Northall and Molly Regatta Dixon.
The Caulfield Beats is an experimental electronic duo and an artistic thrash of electronica, minimal techno, glitch 16-bit and blues. Self taught through two 20 year olds, a computer and a selection of home made contraptions, The Caulfield Beats use live visual art, binary code and atmospheric synthesis to move people in to a world of colours and beats.
The band have received coverage from the likes of Drowned in Sound and Loud and Quiet.
Loud and Quiet say ‘music like a good painting…and this isn’t hard to imagine as you’re carried through each track on a euphoric wave, stopping to take in every vibrant layer, every gaudy arcadian hum…inspired by literature art, and most of all “the poetry”.
The band have recently supported Teeth!, I.R.O.K, When Saints Go Machine and Civil Civic and played Secret Garden Party this year.
