London-based Vuvuvultures (VVV) have been swiftly yet subtly building momentum since their conception in 2011, having developed into a cult-status live band, VVV take over warehouses and host multi-faceted collective parties called ‘The Island’.

From the self-made artwork, to half of east-London rocking the synonymous symbol t shirts; from the weird and wonderful videos, to the semi-nude, paint-drenched performances, VVV have established themselves as one of the most creative and innovative bands to emerge in the past year.

With support from 6music, XFM and Amazing Radio, ‘I’ll Cut You’ is taken from the brilliant ‘VVV EP’ released earlier this year (5* from Artrocker, “suavely seductive”). The EP deftly represents the ease and variance of songwriting and production that the band execute - acting as an impressive taster for this first standalone single. VVV have been featured in Vogue, Wonderland, as well as a whole host of tastemaker fashion and music blogs such as The Recommender, “…they have some fresh ideas and lots of style. This isn’t just another guitar band. Introducing the dangerously beautiful and charismatic frontwoman, Harmony Boucher, who leads from the front, which is an essential ingredient”.

By creating, working and living together, VVV have become a close unit; though unlike many of their London musical-peers, each member brings an individual musical taste and outlook from their native countries and past experiences. Fronted by Australian-born model, Harmony Boucher, the band formed upon a chance meeting with Brazilian bassist, Nicole Marie Bettencourt Coelho; one rehearsal later with South Africans Paul Ressel (guitar, production) and Matthew Christensen (drums), and Vuvuvultures was born.
