Popular Radio Promotion’s Public Service Broadcasting last night won Steve Lamacq’s Rebel Playlist on BBC 6 Music after narrowly missing out on the main playlist. They received 60% of the votes! This is really huge for the outfit on their debut release ‘ROYGBIV’ coming out on march 5th through Test Card records. There will be a play of the track every day on one of the main daytime shows throughout the week in this order:

Firstly thanks to everyone that came to one of our shows or bought one of our records this year. We really appreciate it!

Its been a fantastic year for us, we started the year with 3 staff and now there are 10! and we have all sorts going on next year including around five album releases, five EP releases, bi-monthly UK Tours, clubnights in Berlin, Stockholm and our very own festival on a beach in Italy called PopRox. We can’t wait!

Saturday (19th November), Louis from Popular Radio Promotions Kowalski was interviewed by Huw Stephens on his Saturday afternoon BBC Radio 1 show right before he played their debut single ‘Outdoors’.

The play was the penultimate play in what had been a exceptionally great week of exposure for the band after being added the BBC Introducing Playlist for the week! Daytime plays of the single came from some of the stations biggest names including Fearne Cotton (Mon 14th), Scott Mills (Tues 15th), Dev (Wed 16th), Greg James (Thurs 17th), Huw Stephens (Sat 19th) and Nick Grimshaw & Annie Mac (Sun 20th)!
